Over the weekend

It has been crazy around here lately. I honestly have no idea where the time goes! Ben started a new job on Friday so of course I had to take a picture of him on his first day of work!

a little blurry, but you get the idea...

Friday night I worked on an etsy order so nothing exciting happened but we made up for on Saturday with breakfast out at a local diner, a movie at noon, and plenty of Arrested Development episodes to go around!

I also worked on some new Etsy projects over the weekend. It's so nice having a creative outlet again!

Happy Monday!

My happy place

I visited my happy place this weekend....

There is something about fabric that enthralls me. I love to touch, feel, and admire each piece and imagine what it could be. With all of the colors, textures, and sizes, the ideas are endless.

Moyanne's is a beautiful interior design boutique in the downtown area of Lynchburg. I love to go there and drool over her furniture, bedding, and fabric. I would spend my entire paycheck there if Ben would let me. For some reason, Ben thinks heating our house is more important than what it looks like (crazy, I know). I shopped for some new fabric this weekend and hope to expand my etsy shop in the coming weeks. I'm already itching to go back!

Valentines project

Over the weekend I was in a crafting mood and still feeling the love, so I decided to make some felt hearts that I could put on display throughout the house.

The process was the same as the last heart diy I talked about a week ago. This time I just added a string that I could hang the hearts from and finished off the edge with some pinking sheers.

I think these little guys are so cute. I can't wait to make some more.

I also think the hearts would make perfect wedding favors with some initials hand stitched in the center.

If you don't feel like making these for yourselves, they are now for sale in my etsy shop!

Sent to Australia

Over the Christmas holiday, I was able to whip up a set of vintage inspired napkins going all the way to Australia! My first international order! I really do love creating things for other people and I hope to continue to grow and expand my offerings in the coming months.

Check it out here

This is probably one of my favorite projects to date! Just look at those colors!
